Site Settings
Site Settings is where you change the details that appear all across your website — your logo, phone number, email address, social links and footer. Changing them here updates them everywhere on the site at once.
Opening Site Settings
Section titled “Opening Site Settings”- Log in to the WordPress admin (see Getting started).
- In the left-hand menu, click Site Settings (look for the gear icon).
You will see a settings page split into tabs. Each tab groups related fields together. Click a tab name to switch to it.
The tabs and what they hold
Section titled “The tabs and what they hold”Branding
Section titled “Branding”- Header Logo — the logo shown at the top of every page.
- Footer Logo — the logo shown in the footer at the bottom of every page.
Both are image uploads. To change one, click it, choose or upload a new image, and select it.
Contact
Section titled “Contact”- Email Address — the email address shown on the site.
- Phone Number (Display) — the phone number exactly as you want it to read on the page, for example
07 1234 5678. - Phone Number (tel: link) — the same number in international format so that tapping it on a phone dials correctly, for example
+61712345678. - Address / Location — your business address or location.
Social Media
Section titled “Social Media”- Facebook URL — the full link to your Facebook page.
- Instagram URL — the full link to your Instagram profile.
- LinkedIn URL — the full link to your LinkedIn page.
Paste the complete web address (starting with https://) for each. Leave a field blank if you do not have that profile.
Header
Section titled “Header”- CTA Button Text — the words on the call-to-action button in the site header, for example
Get a quote. - CTA Button URL — where that button takes people when clicked.
Footer
Section titled “Footer”- Footer Tagline — a short line of text in the footer.
- Copyright Text — the copyright line at the very bottom.
- Privacy Policy URL — the link to your privacy policy page.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”When you have made your changes, click Update.
