Getting started
Your website is built on WordPress. To make changes, you log in to the admin area — a private control panel that only your team can see. This page shows you how to get in and where the important things live.
Logging in
Section titled “Logging in”- Go to https://analysisdigital.com.au/wp-login.php in your browser.
- Enter the username
entangle. - Enter your own password (the one you were given when your account was set up).
- Click Log In.
You will land on the Dashboard — the home screen of the WordPress admin area.
A quick tour of the dashboard
Section titled “A quick tour of the dashboard”After logging in you will see two main areas:
- The left-hand menu — this is how you move around. Everything you can manage (pages, posts, settings, and so on) is a link in this menu.
- The main panel — this shows whatever you have selected from the menu.
At the very top is a dark admin bar. The house icon on the left lets you jump out to view the live website, and back again.
Where the key areas live
Section titled “Where the key areas live”Look down the left-hand menu. These are the areas you will use most:
- Site Settings — your logo, contact details, social links and footer. Look for the gear (settings) icon near the top of the menu. See Site Settings.
- Pages — the main pages of your website, such as Home, Services and Contact. See Editing pages & sections.
- Posts — your blog articles. See Blog & reviews.
- Case Studies — your project case studies. See Case Studies.
- Reviews — customer testimonials. See Blog & reviews.
- WPForms — your contact and enquiry forms, and the enquiries that come in through them. See Forms & enquiries.
Saving your changes
Section titled “Saving your changes”Almost every screen has a blue Update or Publish button. Your changes are not live until you click it. If you move away from a screen without saving, your changes are lost.
When you are finished, you can simply close the tab — there is no “log out” needed, though you can log out from the menu under your name in the top-right corner.
